We bring you another participant from the 2011 Geneva Motor Show – it is the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. If you look at the photo, what do you think if it competes against the BMW 3 Series and Audi A5? In our opinion, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is way too big to competes against those cars, but the Silver Arrow is rectifying that with the new 2012 C-Class Coupe is the revival of the old Mercedes CLK.
Mercedes-Benz claimed that C Coupe is newly redesigned sedan because the lower the roofline slightly and remove the two doors. There three powertrain variants including the new 201 horsepower 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four in the Mercedes-Benz C250 and the direct-injected, the 304 horsepower V6 in the range-topping of Mercedes-Benz C350.
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe’s front fascia nearly mirrors its revised for the 2012 sedan sibling, but the biggest changes occur at the –pillar. Wide doors give way to an elongated tail with a gently-sloping roofline. A kink at the rear window in the beltline emphasizes the Bavarian style and it is unlike anything Mercedes-Benz has ever offered. The rear look is borrowed from the coupe with swept-back tail lamps and a faux diffuser.
Mercedes-Benz successfully give the 20120 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe a sporty style and interior and they did the same with the car’s chassis. The Agility Control tuning features a unique amplitude-dependent damping system that helps cut down on road noise with no detriment to handling.
A three-link front axle with MacPherson struts and multi-ink rear axle with five control arms ensures that C-Coupe moves down the road confidently. Of course the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is equipped with the safety feature such as Attention Assist, Active High beam Assist and ESP. Options will include Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist which help ensure that the coupe stays where its driver intends it to be.
